WHAT MAKES BEST FACE FORWARD UNIQUE? 


Owners Kara and Susie started Best Face Forward after planning Kara's wedding in 2010. Our own customer experience during that time is what still drives our daily mission to provide a quality, stress-free, educational experience to everyone. In our almost 10 years in business, we've cultivated the most experienced and most educated, cohesively and consistently trained team of driven beauty professionals in our service markets and together we provide the most full-service beauty and grooming experience in the industry. We build long term relationships. Our detailed process creates so much client confidence in our services, that most of our couples return for many other occasions from their first Christmas cards, to maternity photos and the list goes on.



How much time in advance should I book my beauty services?

We recommend once your date and location is secured, you begin planning Beauty services. Many dates are heavily requested and advanced planning ensures proper staffing and prevents travel fees.

what is required to book my date?

We need all paperwork with a photo and retainer. No scheduling begins until all items are received. We are unique among beauty vendors, requiring only confirmation of Bridal services and no need for confirmed party services until 2 months before the wedding.

CAN YOU SERVICE LARGE PARTIES?

BFF is considered a specialist when it comes to large parties, so hiring multiple independent companies or contractors isn't needed. Our multiple artists who work together every weekend, train together regularly, and have consistent kits, not only provide you the opportunity to have many party members prepped in less time, but most importantly with a cohesive approach unlike any other vendor. Our Artists know each other's timing, each other's favorite products, how they create a requested style... all of those things ensure synergy on your big day and alleviate all the common things that can go wrong when a client hires multiple independent contractors on their own. In addition, our advanced and thorough planning process includes each party member, so they also feel special and are confident on your big day (making them much happier in those photos you paid a lot of money for!). 

Do you have any required minimum number of people to be serviced?

We have no minimum services for booking, only a minimum balance, so if only the bride needs servicing, we simply add an automatic gratuity to meet that balance. We are honored to be a part of intimate services!

DO YOU OFFER AIRBRUSH SERVICES?

BFF does not offer airbrushing as we feel it does not meet our luxury standard. Airbrushing can tend to create several quality issues as more a of a "one size fits all" product offering. Our Artists are instead uniquely and extensively trained in skin prep and have invested and been trained for many years in a diverse array of luxury foundational products to meet all needs of all ages and skin types. We find traditional application offers longevity, more comfort for each client in not feeling "overdone" and creates more lifelike results in person and on camera.

Do you require a preview appointment?


NO they are not required but YES they are strongly recommended! A preview provides time to get to know each other in advance of the wedding and preparation information is provided in advance.


Do you require BOTH makeup and hair to be done?

Although we will do one service, we prefer to do both to ensure cohesiveness and a higher overall standard. If considering having another licensed professional, such as your regular Stylist, provide a service for you, please advise. If we are not notified at the time of booking a collaboration fee of $100 will be charged.

Our Artists are well trained professionals who know color theory, how and what makeup looks like in photographs vs. reality, professional vs. brand name products, HD readiness, why hair needs more volume or product for a humid and/or long wedding day, and other technical skills the average person does not know. We want to make sure you are ready for such an experience and input. If you are typically a non-makeup user or have any set look you always swear by, consider if you are truly open to working with a professional. Hiring our team is our confirmation that you trust our skill, guidance in all situations, and ability to bring your vision to life.

If I book a bridal service package with preview included, do I have the same Artists both days?


Yes- our Bridal packages guarantees your Artists are reserved for your preview as well as your wedding day.


After booking, what should I expect in terms of communication and how often?


While we book well ahead for many wedding dates, detailed planning begins no earlier than 4 months out. Previews normally occur within 8 weeks of your date (unless there are special circumstances like a bride living out of town or work travel that impacts scheduling, in which case we can plan earlier). All final day-of information is completed/ provided within the final month! Event dates are confirmed, with final confirmation of event day details occurring in the week prior to the event.


What time will my Artist(s) arrive on my event day?


Wedding day timelines are solidified within the final month, while for photoshoots and events we will coordinate closer to the event date.


Do we need to bring any supplies for you?


No- we have globally inclusive kits to service anyone. We supply everything we need so you can relax!


What does the wedding day look like?


We will send documents in the last 45 days that help us obtain/ confirm all necessary details. That info helps us put together your timeline and service order which we will provide you with within the final weeks/days ahead of the wedding day. On the wedding day we execute the schedule as provided.
